Uninstalled both games , regret supporting PoE2

We used to get leagues every 3 months , they announced PoE2 that went to 4 months , They told us PoE 2 would be a conjoined game with a shared endgame , they lied , they told us it wouldnt hurt PoE 1 they lied , they told us they would let us keep stash tabs , they changed maps to waystones to make us buy it again .

I Staunchly defended GGG in chat in PoE2 saying dont worry they will fix things , dont worry they will fix all the end game issues , dont worry we will get a POE 1 league to play while they sort this out.

Nope they pulled a bait and switch , they killed the game that made them in order to make a watered down version of it with a trash end game and instead of continuing to support the game that is actually functional they took our money and killed PoE1.

You used to be the shining beacon on the hill GGG , now your just trash like so many other studios that lie to their playerbase for short term gain.

This is the most disgusted i have ever been with GGG and i played 40/40 in archnemesis league.

Screw uninstalling; I paid out a very pretty penny for Supporter packs for both my wife and myself, and so long as we can still have fun playing PoE, you can bet we'll keep at it. What we won't be doing anymore is supporting this company. We stopped after the Exilecon 2023 announcement about PoE Deuce being a separate game, and now players of that special project can do the heavy lifting. ='[.]'=

Thats a fair response , but i dont want my playtime propping their numbers up at all anymore.

I feel so dumb now because i staunchly defended Poe2 with all its issues that they would get it right , knowing now that get it right means killing PoE 1 is just such a kick in the balls.

We all have to do what we think is right i just cant support them in any way anymore monetarily or through my playtime. Its the end of an era the silver age of ARPGs is coming to a close.

I do regret supporting PoE2. I had my suspicions that it would end up making PoE1 stall out or slowly become unsupported.

PoE2 is a worse game in basically every metric, in my opinion.

I uninstalled POE2 after the first few days because I had no interest in the direction they had taken the game.

I kept POE1 installed because I still enjoy that game and hoped that we would get an old league at least. That last statement from Johnathan honestly made me sick I supported these people for so long. I uninstalled immediately after I saw that.

All the people cheering the death of POE1 are completely missing the point that GGG is a bunch of lying corpos who knowingly screwed over the players that kept them employed in the first place. I don't know how anyone in good conscience could continue to support a company whose moral compass is so broken I'm amazed they find their way out of the parking lot.

Did the same yesterday. Actually wanted to play one more time the settlers necro trash, but the statement made it official.

Uninstalled and time to move on.
