Upgrading (merch)

I bought the game on day one of release through steam and wanted to upgrade eventually to the latest support package, but noticed that I can't upgrade and get the hoodie and book if I were to do that. Is there a way to transfer the version I have currently so I can be able to get the physical goodies?
