PoE 1 just reset the current season or give us a fun old season to play like Affliction league.

Just give PoE 1 players a season to play. I don't need new content. I do not want to play Kalguur as I thought it was a terrible season.

Roll back to Affliction league and let us go to town for 4 months.

GGG could have taken some time in the month of January to have a few developers spin up some cracked void leagues to keep PoE1 players happy/occupied, knowing that literally nobody was working on 3.26 nor would be for quite some time.

Jonathan, who hates PoE1, didn't think about that and would rather keep 100% of company resources focused on PoE2, his baby, which totally isn't packed with FotM players who will ditch it for the next big game.

So pulling a few developers off of PoE2 for a few days to set up some cracked void leagues didn't even cross his mind, because why would he be thinking of PoE when there's PoE2? Why would you want to have a dedicated PoE1 lead ensuring that game doesn't get abandoned when you could just be a terrible project manager?

they could do this easily, but they wont because poe2 player numbers would be looking really bad then

They will not do this. They will lose players in their shitty gacha game that is POE2 if they acknowledge POE1 exists. They are "forcing" their POE1 base to either play POE2 to inflate numbers, or to fuck off. They DO NOT care about POE1 players. This is Tencent now, the GGG we all know is gone.
