Awful news for PoE1

As many of you know the new league for PoE 1 is on hold and I am just here to cry with my honest opinion on the issue and what I would wish it would happen.

I feel like this decision is such a shit one it is unbelieveable. I mean this with all my heart when I say that they can keep the money. Take the 300 points which I still have from the early access pack away. Not offer any refunds. But quit working on PoE2 over 1. I could not care less about anything 2 has over 1. Anything literally if this is the position it gets 1 to.

This is my opinion and it is fine if you do not agree with it and you like 2 more than 1 but for me this just makes me not want to play either game anymore and just boycott the company or some shit. PoE is without a doubt one of my favorite games and I started playing not as long ago as other but about 3-4 years ago maybe and I was seeing myself play every league released in this game for more or less time.

Now? I would rather go and play and spend my money on torchlight infinite.

Either shut down PoE2 and focus on 1 with adding QoLs from 2 if possible and learn from the rights and mostly wrongs of 2 then implement them in 1 or simply move the entire team that was working on 1 back. Cannot believe a half assed game takes priority over the main one that got the company to the point it is today. It is like they just went rock paper scissors and who won its who took control of the devs.

I could not give a single damn if the next PoE2 patch comes out in 1 entire year. Now even if they do put people back to working on 1 I will still not play 2 until its full release out of spite but I will at least enjoy playing 1.

I understand that people appreciate the transparency but that does not make it a good decision or should protect them from the honest not hate but yknow dislike for it that they should get.
Just cause you shot someone and admit to it that does not mean you should not go to jail in case anyone does not understand what I am trying to say with that.

If things wont go in favor of PoE1 I will quit playing both games and I know nobody cares nor should you but this is more of a vent to some place where GGG might see that is all.

PoE2 has the bigger playerbase. It was inevitable that PoE1 would get neglected this year. Maybe in 2026 we'll get consistent expansions for PoE1.

Hahaha. They pulled the team off of PoE1 to help PoE2. PoE2 has far more issues, bugs and problems than they anticipated. Their plan is to get out of EA within 6-12 months.


There will either be nothing or something rushed together + no support/fixes for PoE1 until say, 3-4 months after PoE2 gets out of EA. consistent updates by 2026 is extremely positive thinking.

the poe2 playerbase would be much smaller if they would release a new poe league and they know that. they probably just want to make poe 2 look better so they fuck over og poe players tbh kind of sad.
