Map closing

Not sure if it is a bug but when you load a map why if you die in the map do all the portals close, this has happened 3 times so far in 8 maps. Clearly not the best character but im having fun all the same.

This is by design. As rough as that is, it used to be that you couldn't even retry the map if you died.

So is this something that at some point is going to get fixed because it kind of makes the 6 portals pointless.
