Merging all leagues to STD after the end of the Legacy of Phrecia event

EDIT: Now that we know the event is extended and we can expect new league in June (surely this time it'll happen), would it be possible to merge all leagues in to STD after the Legacy of Phrecia event? The market situation in Settlers league and STD is dire. I've heard from many more people that they are waiting with their new items and currency to merge into STD.

The few players still playing PoE 1 are currently scattered between 3 leagues (STD, Settlers and Phrecia).

Would it be possible to merge the Settlers league to STD after the Legacy of Phrecia event ends in April?

The game has been very stagnant in Settlers and STD league ever since PoE 2 EA release, now to a point when even merge will feel refreshing. The recent event helped a little bit, but brand new ascendancies are not really a new league or a 6-month+ league finally ending.

100% agree for this merge to happen.

yes please, even if we'll get some kind of event, race or what have you, people won't be really coming back to settlers league anyway, so just merge it and give the few standard players left their 2 days of playtime (source: I'm one of them)

Have to disagree hard. Settlers is a very popular league mechanic. Unless they offer a fresh Settlers start or make Settlers go core as is in standard there is just no way this is the right move now.

Would be nice for STD folks who grinded league hard to finally get their items in STD.

Yeah, definitely not into standard. Standard is different game with different rules. I don't play it at all and never will. But having two simul leagues was big time stupid decision - there should 100% be only one active league.
