Communication

Despite the well made videos about the delay, or the upcoming changes, there still seems to be a slow trickle of communication coming out.

During this time, doesn't it seem responsible to have a cadence that is clear to the community to follow up on?

Why not a monthly thing? Like a newsletter. Or a devchat or even some kind of stream? Like a dev plays poe and chats a bit?

This level of communication just seems draconian and dated.

It is not necessary. It is enough for players to know that GGG has fixed the instrument sounds of the NPCs in the first chapter.
Derelict ship.
All this reminds me so much of Bungie and the Destiny franchise that I can't help but laugh despite how bad it feels.

Despite how nice it was put, what Johnathan basically said was "Hey guys, I made the decision to take you for a ride and I can't keep from admitting it any longer."

Shame on you GGG.
I mean, I know what they are going through. So I get it to a large degree. However, the communications they are doing seem pretty distant and vague. Not in the keeping a secret about an upcoming release kind of vague. More like, we are in over our heads in problems, kind of vague.

In both cases, more posts and details of expectations, even if reality doesn't play along, helps keep the ship moving onward and the crew working hard at keeping it going onward.

And by crew, I mean the audience playing the game and keeping the social train on its course. Right now it is wobbling on the tracks into a storm, and that kind of video after this much silence doesn't seem like it would steady the train.
