Willow Map: Too many trees/ground clutter still.
I know in the last update you said something about cleaning up clutter on the maps. Well it looks like Willow never got looked at.
There are about 6,000 Birch trees blocking every path you try to go. Birch trees blocking Minions at the worst times when you get swarmed by mobs, still a ton of leafy ground plants blocking ground AOE.... ...etc..etc.. " There just needs to be a setting to completely disable the game from rendering so you can have a black screen behind an open mini map. There's no consistency in the art for things you can and cannot pass. The culling is also terrible and lots of things block your camera, or don't cull until after you walk under them, and into groups of enemies. It's not even just Willow still, it's most of the game and most of the maps. Delirium on Blooming Field? That's a skip. Even without delirium effects, pathing in most maps is an exercise in tedium. Some maps there's only very specific areas of shallow water you can walk through... right next to the exact same looking areas of shallow water that have an invisible wall (most notably trial of chaos). Half the time you try to attack, geometry is targeted. Attack that comes from the sky? Sorry this 2ft wall got in the way. Melee? We know you're targeting enemies, but how about we just swing where you're standing for a few minutes. |

" Old habits die hard I guess, but can't imagine how anyone plays while actually looking at the game, which is an injustice to the work put into the assets. I really don't have issues with the aesthetics; I have issues with the readability of everything else with terrible depth ordering. Other than that it's the lack of consistency in tiles stealing your attention away and collision issues; nothing anyone would notice fixed, but would improve their experience nonetheless. |

I like the visuals of Willow as long as I'm not moving or fighting. It looks great.
As soon as I have to move around or fight, I need to use the minimap to navigate. This is the one map I now try to avoid unless there is no way around on the atlas. |
