Endless Atlas issue and suggestion
As many others have already pointed out, the main problem with the Atlas at the moment is that it is infinite, and gives the feeling of going back and forth without a specific purpose.
The system could be more complex and rewarding by activating synergies with League mechanics. SUGGESTION Completing League mechanics has a small chance to drop special waystones; these waystones, inserted into the realmgate, activate a portal to a different Atlas (called Atlas2 to simplify). This Atlas is identical to the normal one, but with some differences: The Atlas2 is defined (6 screens) Each map node includes the League mechanic used in the waystone that activated the Atlas2 The League mechanics in the Atlas2 get bonuses (drop rate, rarity?) There are no towers About 1 in 3 nodes contains a boss The map bosses protect a device similar to the one used in the towers, allowing the player to use a tablet directly in the map with the boss after defeating it It is not possible to use a tablet of the same League mechanic used to open the Atlas2 The Atlas2 contain at least 1-2 citadels All map nodes have +1 level T16 waystones can drop from level 82 nodes New drop for special areas - Orb of Horizons - allows you to reroll a map node This idea may not appeal to everyone, but I'd like to open it up for discussion and hear your perspectives.
