Games great! Things I noticed while playing.

Here are some bullet points for things I have noticed during my playthrough both good and bad, and in no particular order.

- Campaign was a lot of fun, the difficulty for me ramped well and the challenge of the bosses was so thrilling to overcome, it gave me the smallest of feelings of Elden ring when you finally beat the boss of an area.

- Rarity of skill gems, I found that their rarity was quite appealing, sure in the ideal having one drop every 10 minutes would make my playthrough faster and I could blast, but having the drop rarer meant it had a lot more impact of dopamine when it did drop. The only fear with it is that if and when you finally get a support gem that it adds no real impact to your build, or doesn't feel like something you want to chase if it adds little value, for a newer player this might happen more often so I cant help feel like small tutorial videos "like the skill videos" giving people a hint of what the support does would go a long way to adding immersion to the games skill system. I'm not a fan of the "download your build" setups and having more tools in the game to understand what skills, gems, and their supports do would be wonderful and this way allows you to spend your gem wisely rather than wasted on a support that wasn't all that impactful for your build.

- World design, the tailored made levels and zones were a sight to behold, going up against Vastweld for the first time seeing him appear out of the dark was almost akin to the feeling I had when I first went deep underground in Elden ring. Also special mention to the lost city zones and the "shrine" hideout, I love the aesthetic of these zones!

- Skills and how they work, I played warrior (titan) and my favourite skill and the one that drew me to the class "Leap", was so underwhelming for me unfortunately. I can only comment on warrior as it is the only class I have played, but many of the warrior classes skills feel similar, either being clunky or having such long activation times they don't feel fun to play (sunder, supercharged slam, fissure, etc). It actually made me use basic mace strikes and pushed me toward a build based around basic attacks. My ideal solution to this would be to allow me to be in motion when I cast these skills and throughout, being rooted with 80% of your skills doesn't feel fun to play for a class that requires you to be in melee range for most attacks.

- Missing information about status's, not being able to figure out what my stun threshold was something that confused me, why its not in the game as a quantifiable stat I can look at seems off, maybe its something coming in a future update but feels like it should already be here.

- Console playing, I have played both PC and console regularly and I have to say controller play is my preferred input as a whole, but there are some very tedious things regarding UI interaction with controller that make it such a headache, for example trying to find out what adding quality to a gem does on controller, not a clue, still haven't worked out how to do it, maybe I'm dumb and missed the obvious, but if its that hard to find perhaps it needs to be made a little more accessible?

- Interaction with chat (due to being in trade league) is so tedious on controller, and if you have cross play enabled PC players often have little tolerance for the time it takes you to clunkily try to rush to get out the 8 exalts a player wants for his item, by the time you finally manage to accept the trade you find you cancelled the trade and proceeded to smash the ground in utter dismay without even realising you did it. I feel like there should be a notification that pops up when you get a trade request that allows you to invite the person to your party the moment they message you so you can initiate the trade, rather than having to access the chat directly. I saw briefly that someone mentioned there should be an auction house, and to be honest, I mostly agree with this, a place where you put your item up for sale and should a buyer find it be able to buy it anytime without the need for you to be online if you have set the price to be "exact".

- Passive tree interaction when using weapon sets, whenever your respecing or changing skills the passive tree will often bug out and not show skills as active when they have been chosen, or if you make many changes to a section of the tree and it displays incorrectly, its often easier to come out reset the skills you were trying to change entirely and start again.

- Endgame, XP loss of 10% is mortifying, I understand there needs to be a negative to dying, BUT if you have spent a long time grinding away in maps and did lots of great moves and ability's, played great, then as the night goes on and you make a mistake or take on a boss difficulty a bit too hard for you at that moment it shouldn't cost you the previous maps of good gameplay and completion. It in my opinion should only cost you the xp you gained in that map you died in, as you already loose the bonus's of the map, say it was irradiated and corrupted with a boss, that's enough of a loss already, but to loose the xp you gained in all those other previously completed maps just feels unnecessarily harsh. Now imagine you die due to a broken mechanic or a bug. This whole penalty becomes so much worse.

There's lots of other things that have come up but have either been addressed already or are so likely to change I don't think it worth mentioning them here. Overall, I have had a blast so far and continue to do so. Keep up the good work GGG.

Some decent points and some that I don't agree with (i.e. XP loss). Can I just say. Thank you for actually providing well-thought-out feedback. You took the time to explain your friction points, and provided some bonus ways to improve in the specified feedback areas.

Thanks, I've seen a lot of not so useful feedback on the forums. Figured I would say my piece as a few of the guys I have played with said I ought to make suggestions, who knows maybe it will never be seen, but at least I can say I said my peace and not regret saying nothing.
