Unable to trade, "Invalid Query; your account must be in-game to use this feature

I really just wanna buy armor. I'm ingame. I logged in via steam. I may have an issue where I made and account, not realizing I could log in via steam, then connected my account. Can't seem to remove both accounts. Why isn't my game responding to the trade, not allowing me to whisper to the seller?
