no option to show subtitles

hello,

i would like to see an option to turn on subtitles for random conversation and things the player character sometimes says when encountering things or entering new areas.

this isn't essential, i just like having the option there, and i'm sure it'll help for people who are hard of hearing, or people who are playing with the sound down to let others in their household sleep.
