Augury - ritual bug

After activating the ritual, I trapped my friend in the adjacent room and relogged to avoid being killed by mobs. In the meantime, he placed a portal inside that room, preventing us from killing the mobs. Leaving the map didnt interrupt the encounter, making it impossible to complete.
