cant change passive skill tree

Today i was making changes to my passive skill tree in POE2 by talking to the hooded one and after making the changes I wanted, I exited the screen and when I went back in all the changes had reverted to pre changed settings. I have done this before and did save and confirm all the changes I made and paid the money. But after going out of passive skill tree screen everything resets. I've tried it several times. Please help. I tried to restart the game a couple times and changing characters as well with no luck

Solved: I just had to make smaller changes. I was changing 11 points at first so I made about 3 at a time and for some reason it didnt reject it that way
