Trials are not fun or interesting.
Get a major boon that grants 21 honour on room completion to counter the MINOR affliction of 200 damage on room completion.
There's no interesting decision or counter play to getting "damage reduced by 50%" on an affliction you couldn't even see coming. The only way to progress this dog shit system is to just majorly out level the content or pay money for a carry. Last bumped on Jan 28, 2025, 5:37:22 PM

People used to say the same thing about the lab and now they want it back .

" There is one another way - learn how to play trials. And it requires only one thing - use your brain. |

your "get good" comment not appreciated. They have a valid point, the trials measure your RNG luck as much as your build. Lab was fundamentally different as it only tested your build. I really enjoyed Lab and I find both trials in POE2 tediously long with the potential to be "unfair".
For example getting the minor afflictions ... no Armor, no evasion, no energy shield. Nothing minor about them, they can completely brick your build. On one of my titan's runs I was forced into the choice between No Armor or not being able to gain honor. My feedback to GGG, give us trials that challenge our builds and not our luck. These were side mechanics in POE you could elect to skip, in POE2 you've made them mandatory. They make sense as side content, they make no sense as core character progression. This is a literal get good moment... you can read 2 rooms ahead naturally, if you screw yourself it's on you.

" Well it is not 100% RNG. You can affect alot of things with relics and with planning your path. It's funny that I completed 3rd trial on multiple characters and never pick any build breaking affliction. Guess I'm ultra lucky. |
