Suggestion: Add animation/effect to show item changes when modding

Hi everyone!

I'm new to the Path of Exile world and have been playing the beta of PoE 2. I must admit, I’m already hooked on the game!

One of my favorite aspects of Path of Exile (besides playing it) is watching videos of players modding their items on YouTube. It’s entertaining, sometimes hilarious, occasionally frustrating, and often showcases incredible moments of luck. It’s a fascinating part of the game’s culture, both in and out of the game itself.

However, when modding items in-game, I’ve found it challenging to immediately notice what changes were made to an item. For instance, when using a Chaos Orb (which reforges rare items with new random modifiers), it’s not always clear what was altered. I imagine other players might share this experience, especially newer players like myself.

Considering how visually polished PoE 2 already is, I believe a simple animation or effect that highlights the changes made to an item could enhance the modding experience. Not only would this help players understand what’s happening, but it could also make the process more satisfying to watch.

I even made a small example (youtube video below) of how a basic animation could make item modding feel more impactful. I believe this feature could improve the overall experience for players, both in-game and for those watching content related to it.

Thanks for reading, and I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts!
