How I would: Redesign the Atlas
Sharing my personal opinion about the current state of the atlas and ideas on how I would reskin/redesign it. I'm not trying to criticize GGG for the current atlas, I'm sure they did iterations over multiple ideas, just my thoughts on the topic.
What I'm not a big fan of atm: In order to set up a farm area, I need to rush to two-three towers ahead, to put tablets, then run back and do the maps that overlap with my previous influence. Where the pathing maps and the towers seem a little bit like waste and not 100% fun. Besides that, the never-ending atlas miss to hit me with dopamine spikes discovering/setting something random, which I think is important. So, I would suggest instead, is again a never-ending atlas, but split into tiles: With the idea of keeping the maps randomised instead of focusing on a single map with tablet rework to an "increased/more" chance of spawning specific thing and not a fixed number, allowing us to hit insane tiles where for example all maps will be with breach and boss. Just to emphasize, I'm not a game developer and there are a lot of things that I for sure don't take into consideration, like balance, player experience, and technical difficulties, so take all this with a grant of salt and just as a some quickly drawn idea.
