Orb of Pathmentation - create pathways where there are none?
Any chance we might get a new mid-rare to rare orb to create paths between unconnected map nodes? There are quite a few areas only connected by one path and this sometimes is quite frustrating. Also, there are lot of bugs preventing the completion of maps (looking at you iron citadel...), which, at least in my case, can lead to situation where progress to certain direction is impossible.
Solution: Orb of Pathmentation (One Shall Pass!) Thumbs up guys, the game is awesome, can´t wait what you come up with in the future! Last bumped on Jan 28, 2025, 9:06:29 AM

" Can you show me example, where you could not progress in certain direction? I mean, basic math should tell you that for each unit of distance you travel away from the start, you get ~6 more units of nodes. Unless you are talking about a single node you decided to go through, and you call this "direction", I am ready to argue about this mathematical non-sense all day. To explain to you how much of a non-sense I am talking about - If I want to cover all of the so-called directions, at the point I am now, I will have to spend the next 300 days mapping 8 hours a day... |

I have a peninsula where only one path connects the areas. I now have two Iron Citadels which I cannot complete (it says 1 mob remaining, but none to be found, probably final boss bug), blocking the progression to the other side. Finding a way around this takes 20+ maps as I need to find another connection and path from there, image link below.
Also, there are huge areas running alongside with no connection where this kind of orb would be nice (images below, in 2 parts). Broken Citadel: (https://imgur.com/SDVArvN) Discontinued area: (https://imgur.com/rHoZXoB, https://imgur.com/KaUxTLc) I mean it can be a feature, not a bug but the orb would be kinda cool tho :). |

i love the little pockets of nodes completely disconnected from everything /s, i don't think an orb like that is needed (even though its pretty cool idea) but rework of the rng they use to generate the atlas is definitely in order

Would not the proper feedback be that they should fix the bugs and problems?
It feels so strange to sell/create solutions for bad game design in a game that is in early access. I feel the same about checkpoints (in maps) that was introduced, if you need to add quality of life features in a month old game it is probably better to aim for a complete or partial re-design. |

I’m sure these bugs will be fixed at some point, but this came to me as a fun consept - and as a quick fix to my current situation. I mean wouldn’t it be cool to beeline to those sweet beams glimmering in the fog like a boss? With appropriate fee of course. And yea, like you bro I’ve been playing a long time so I’m just constantly theorycrafting the game without too much critisism to my thoughts 😆.
Anyways, best of luck and may Vaal be fortituous for you! |
