Invoker "Lead me through Grace" node

So the node in question, Lead me Through Grace, clearly states "Cannot gain spirit from equipment".

However, unique modifiers that give spirit such as Morior Invictus Chest with "Gain 10 spirit per socketed runes or soul cores" , and Against the Darkness with "Notable Passive Skills in Radius also grant 9-12 Spirit" able to give Invoker spirit while the node is taken.

Is this working as intended ? If not then its clearly a bug, if yes then the tooltip description needs to be revised.
