One death per map does not improve the quality of play
XP penalty does that sufficiently. Nobody likes to lose progress, especially with all the carrots on the stick in front of us. I absolutely HATE losing xp and that alone provides incentive for me to play as well as possible.
But one death per map is way too punishing, considering how much time, effort and juice goes into a lot of the maps you're most likely to die in. It is frustrating, it is maddening, it is extreme overkill. If necessary cut it down to fewer revives, but for gods sake, please make it a non-zero value. I know, this has been said many times. But if you hear this often enough, perhaps you'll see that it's become if not a consensus view, at least a whopping majority view. Please change this. Man does not stop playing because he grows old. He grows old because he stops playing. - Oliver Wendell Holmes Last bumped on Jan 27, 2025, 3:14:06 PM

Yet again this posted by poe veteran, that in 13 years of poe didn't learn how to build defenses, and how to play
