Life regen and Chaos Inoculation

Hey GGG,

If my life regen is high enough to not lose ANY HP when i have a DOT on me from a skill. Then why can't i have a skill that depletes HP, combined with Chaos Inoculation? It should end the millisecond that hp go's down. But as long as i out heal it instantly with HP regen. It should work. There is no reason it should not.

HP is above 1. I take dmg from the dot. Instead of getting killed it should just stop the skill instantly imo. For ex. 100 HP regen per sec? Then when the dot hits 100 DMG per sec. Skill just end. Hell it could end at 99.9Hp or even just 99HP regen. But it should still work.

The reason why is simple. You die at 0 hp. Not at the end of a round or anything. You hit 0, you die. And first the thing causes you to lose hp (and it does that, not "reduce hp regen by x"), which puts you at 0, because GGG deals in whole numbers. And then you die.

The big problem here is that everything ends when your HP goes down with CI.
It is not in your interest to have HP reduced to 0.

Trust me on this and move on.
You can't regen life until you lose it, the instant 1 becomes 0 you are dead, there's no time for any regen.
Don't try to cheat death.
With CI you have no HP, deal with it. 1 HP is just a technical necessity. In fact you have no HP. Not even 0 HP pool, you don't have HP pool itself.

That is completely false.

The underlying logic is always the same.
You die when you have 0 HP.

With CI you die when you lose that 1 HP you have.
You can have 0 ES, 0 Mana, and live with that 1 HP.
