Those dashlines connecting the waypoints
I have enjoyed POE2 so far, apart from the obvious RMT ruined trades, limited choice of end-game viable skills and builds, and all other stuff people wrote on this forum.
But for me, the single most frustrating thing is the map connections. Initially progressing through maps for Doryani is okay, and once you get to a point, you start to see those beacon lights in the fog. That gives you a new purpose, chasing the citadels. Then you blasting through maps again towards the beacon, only realise your single lane highway approach comes to a dead end. And to trace your steps back, you have to pick another route pretty much from where you started, into the unknown fog, and hoping it will be the alright. It happened to me twice, and it was like two nodes close together on a flat plain without connection. If the design is that 'if there is a bunch of water tiles more than x unit wide, then no connection', or 'if there is a group of snow covered mountain tiles then no connection', I can live with that. But no connecting lines on plain, it feels like the game is purposely stopping you from progressing. Last bumped on Jan 26, 2025, 9:55:19 PM
