The new atlas
The new atlas has to go. It's not fixable.
Now you have people running tower and hideout maps over and over to not have to travel to new areas, and any fix you can think of for solving the annoying parts or exploits opens the door to new exploits. At the same time, farming without exploits is asinine: you have to find a good new area, go to it by doing several maps, get all the towers avoiding good layouts, use your tablets, then do all the maps you can, including those that have terrible layouts for your farm just to squeeze more time farming before you have to move on. Cus that's the thing, you spend WAAAAAY more time moving through the atlas, looking for zones and getting the towers than you do actually farming. And what's the benefit of this miserable system full of holes, exploits, annoyances and frustration? You don't run the same layour 200 maps in a row. That's it, that's the only benefit compared to the old system. I get that players running 1000 island strands without touching any other layout looks bad from a game designer chair, but you gotta understand that first and foremost what's important is the game experience, and the atlas system has way too many sacrifices to solve a problem that was never really a problem for players... agreed. I've been hoping they just reskin this system and make it the new delve mechanic. Then give us a new end-game atlas system. Or maybe when u complete Arbiter you unlock another atlas/map system. They can keep some benefits to farming this specific system (such as arbiter, fragments etc) but allow people to progress to a system more similar to the old one.
I stopped because I just cant be bothered to scroll around anymore. Even with checkmarks etc it is just so painful to navigate around and find stuff. This is the step BEFORE the setup phase even. It just feels miserable all around. Last edited by Distorted203#0948 on Jan 26, 2025, 9:56:59 PM
