Poe2 Support Gem compatibility warnings would be nice

I wish new support gems would let you know if you already have the gem equipt and also what the skills the gems are compatable with BEFORE you get them. I don't know if this would be difficult or maybe I'm missing it somehow. Im new to Poe in general and really like the game but I find myself accidentally getting duplicate support gems, having to go back and forth between menus to see what I already have to prevent this. And also struggling to understand exactly which supports go with which skills BEFORE acquiring them, I understand after I acquire them I can see the compatibility. I get that you can find out , like persistence goes with persistence etc, I just wish there was an easy menu to let you know.

Did you go into options and uncheck gem cutting restrictions?
Check it again and it will prevent you from making duplicates.

Also when you create support gem you can choose for what skill on the side and it recommends some gems for that skill.
