Fresh leveling still feels horrible for no reason
Hello GGG,
I am very disappointed in the way things turned out since the release of POE2. You completely ignored POE1 as a game, which results in no content for my favorite game for ages. And this is after you stated multiple times, that POE2 would not affect POE1 content. As for POE 2, I made a fresh SSF character, to check how the game changed, and you still haven't balanced the leveling, which results in a horrible experience in Normal difficulty. I don't get why would you make the most painful part of POE even more painful... What is the point of struggling while leveling and farming a single boss for 30 mins, where in the same time endgame has never been easier and people are oneshoting bosses... The whole "mechanics" on bosses and longer fights seems to apply only in the leveling phase, which is just means to an end... Please balance this properly, enough time has passed since release. If the leveling remains this frustrating, when you start releasing leagues for POE2, I would definitely not be able to handle fresh leveling on every league. It just sucks the fun out of the game... minus won
The beginning leveling acts of POE, is like the best part of this game. Zoom zoom is boring boring Mash the clean

Are you telling me you are playing POE for the 1st 8 hours of the game, LOL? Just like POE1, endgame is the real game, and leveling fresh every 3 months, where it takes 8 hours to go through normal is not gonna sit well...

" I so do not agree with that. In PoE2, the best experience is campaign. Slow, methodical combat. So much better than zoom-zooming. I wish maps be like that. |
|
" If we wanted to play at the pace of a geriatric snail we'd play the campaign. But that's not why PoE became popular. |

I completely disagree, lol :) Fresh leveling is the best part of the game for me right now.
" Exactly that. I find the current state of endgame rather boring. Once I got good enough gear, the only upgrades for me are worth hundreds of divines which I probably will never have. I one shot bosses without having to witness their fight mechanics. Also, at this stage the punishing nature of death makes it so I don't want to experiment and try wacky stuff, so I don't lose hours of XP farming. During the campaign I can experiment all I want and the worst that will happen is that the mobs will respawn. Also I have a constant feeling of progression, and depending on the gear that drops I have meaningful decisions to make. It's the best and I wish the endgame was more like it. Edit: The only issue I have is that the maps are a bit too large for my taste, and some boss mechanics are a bit too unfair (like the ritual boss in Act 1 that freezes you while shooting a big orb of death at the same time). Campaign is far and away the best bit.
Early endgame leveling sucks balls mind you. Last edited by cid951#3156 on Jan 26, 2025, 1:03:36 PM

" At what point can we all admit poe2 just ain't it, or even close to it. If the campaign is all there is, it's basically dead on arrival |

Classic take of "true poe veteran" lmao

I mean, so called "true poe veterans" basically funded the development of what we thought and hoped would be an upgraded Path of Exile (not a 'different and significantly slower' one). Instead what we've received is a slow and tedious experience. I get that they wanted to bring in new players, but it's still disappointing for many of us.
