Nearly impossible 4th ascendancy completion on PS5 [button interaction issue]

It is nearly impossible to complete 4th Ascendancy on PS5 especially in the Shrine timer trial.

We are not able to interact to activate the shrine on time if there are mobs around or even during fight. Because of this the timer is up and your attempt to complete 4th Ascendancy is ruined.

The same issue goes for dropped items, we are not able to pick them up if there are mobs around or during fight.

The X button is just not showing up. I hope this will be addressed and fixed at least when League will be released for consoles.

I have asked a friend who is playing on PC, he said he is able to always interact with objects/items even in fight or even if mobs are around him.

This is concerning because me and probably a lot of people have lost many keys and maps to complete the Ascendancy but they are not able to do so because they are not able to interact with the shrine object on time.

As soon as you approach the shrine, the mobs either are around that shrine or they are chasing you and in result you can't press any button on time to complete the shrine timer.

Please fix this in priority for console.

adding my voice to this as well.. we need a way to interact with actionable objects on the map while mobs are still around.

you can at least give us the option to modify/configure the button layout, we can then assign another button (other than A on xbox) to be able to interact with actionable objects. the timer running out was one huge frustration.
If you mapped an Attack to X button , you certainly can't interact with the X button during combat because you'll attack instead .

So don't map anything on X .

Tell me you don't play Poe2 on console without telling me you don't play.

[Removed by Support] On console for example PS5, you cannot interact with any object if the mobs are around you or you are in fight, you can't pick up any dropped items neither does not matter how you mapped your interaction button.

Its a common issue players experiencing on console.

For your information, the button X on PS5 is configured out of the box to interact within the game, this button is not mapped to any attack skills

Yeah its the only trial map I hate in the entire game. Lost 10 maps to this.

Let me have a good laugh on that .
I got 400+ hours on PS5 but nice try , i applaud the effort .

I can activate any shit and pick any loot even when surrounded by mobs because i have never ever double-binded the X button with an Attack . For your information , rookie , you absolutely can double bind this Interaction button with whatever skill you want and this will be the only way to actively disable Interaction when you are in Combat .

So either go take a look at your binding mapping screen , disable whatever the fuck you binded to it , [Removed by Support]

This is correct. Although it’s not just limited to attacks. Don’t have anything bound to a/x at all and you won’t have any problems.

Hold the main button ( central pad on PS5 , probably the Xbox button for you ) to open the pie menu then select the bottom option to open the mapping menu .

Or the other way is to go to the skill menu , click modify any active skill , then click Change Mapping and you'll be able to change whatever you want .

Does your X look like this?
if it does it should work to both loot and interact during combat and when surrounded by mobs.
If there's another icon then it will not work, and even if you haven't specifically bound anything to X on purpose, it will i.e automatically equip a skill from a weapon if you equip one.
I got 700 something hours played on PS5, and I've been running ALOT of trials and I do not have the issues you're talking about.
But I agree it's not a great priority to not have interact as the #1 function when you're near loot/interactable object if a skill is also bound to the interact button. H zzz
