Maps Local Coop not playable after 1 player dies

Does anyone have the same issue: in local coop we start a map and then one of the two players dies. The screen then totally freezes and the alive player doesn't see anything anymore and dies. The endgame is unplayable like this in local coop. First only one player can start a map, which is insanely annoying and then you can only survive the map together or not finish at all. Since the endgame we don't enjoy playing it anymore.

Me and my Brother have the same problem since 2,3 days and we lost a lot of XP and Waystones. And the other player in coop or in the party cant pick up the dropped waystones...

Yeah very frustrating. We still haven't found a workaround and stopped playing like this. We have an idea why it doesn't work: the Atlas is Accountwide and when one player dies, it counts the whole waystone as failed. If one player does and you logout and login again as solo player who was still alive it says "you can't continue after death" or something like that. So it means that the game counts both players as dead from the moment one player dies.
It is really punishing to play with 2 persons in local coop and we don't enjoy it anymore, so we stopped. We still play solo sometimes and this is great, but together it's just painful. They should add a system where local coop is promoted, like solo you mustn't die but in local coop you can be revived like 2 times or something like this. Then we would love to play it again.
