quick morning observations
This is all from the perspective of a melee, playing ranged your experience may vary
1) water hag water prison - longer interval between casts, just too oppressive 2) volatile plants - longer interval between casts, just too oppressive 3) temporal bubble - make some counter (stun/freeze removes it) 4) charger mobs - make them not be able to push you around for half a map 5) 10 slam mobs in one pack and slam not being evadable + way too high damage of slams (should be resolved without the need of acrobatics) 6) offscreen slam nukes (crows/quadrillas) - game too zoomed in, the monsters are already agroing/jumping against you while you cant even see them yet 7) questionable overall mob density - cant pull a pack without pulling 3 additional packs surrounding it, which cascades into even more mobs when you deal with those additional packs 8) willow map - cant see anything 9) health potions useless in endgame? (you either dont need the potion at all or you get damaged from full health to zero before you can even push the potion button) 10) patches of burning ground way overtuned Last bumped on Jan 27, 2025, 4:27:27 AM

Heres a situation that involves atleast 3 of my points; Im running the same willow map for the third time today.
First time i slogged through all the mobs in an area i can see nothing in because of all the trees and foliage, finally get to boss just to get onetapped by his slam. Second time i died to mobs because of all the trees and foliage and effects hiding the volatile plants that snuck up on me. Hope this third run turns out better but: Willow is shit, there isnt a single player who wants to play this map as it is now, im certain....the volatile plants have plenty of topics made, and the Connal slam is just frustrating, plenty of videos of people dying to it just cause its so fast. While oneshot mechanics can be ok they cant be insantaneous at the same time. Morning rant over, time to go for a walk before i attempt to finish the 3rd try :P |
