cant unlock ascendancy challenge in cruel diff

so i am playing though the game and i got to cruel deff and i killed balbala the tractor and i cant unlock her challenge and i don't know how to fix it

I would like to add more details to this game bug. My husband and I had this exact same issue while playing separately (not in a party). We were both in Cruel mode. Balbala did not drop the Djinn Barya coin so we could attempt the Trial of Sekhemas again for the 3rd ascendancy. As we kept progressing in the Cruel campaign, after fighting the Chimera, it also did not drop the Inscribed Ultimatum coin for the 4th ascendancy. I made it to End Game recently and finally got the Djinn Barya coin for a Level 66. I was playing on my 10th Level 1 map at the time and am a Level 70 Titan. After completing the map, I used the Waypoint and selected Act 2 Cruel mode and chose the Trial of Sekhemas. It said Level 22 for some reason and took me there. I double-checked that I didn't choose the normal campaign Act 2, but it seemed correct. The game didn't update to show a higher level of difficulty.
