Megalomaniac Diamond not allocating Hunter's Talisman

I have a Mega-D with 1st slot "Hard to kill" and 2nd slot "Hunter's Talisman". Hard to kill works fine and they both light up as though allocated however I don't actually get the charm slot that is supposed to be granted by the HT (I don't get the reduced charm charges from the old version either).
