"You do not have the required quest state" preventing access to Chaos Trials in end game
After completing the campaign in cruel, I cannot return to Chaos Trial (or any "present" map locations and I get the message "you do not have the required quest state".
This is a bit of a pain as I can't finish my ascendancies now. Has anyone encountered this or know how to fix it? I have restarted the game etc with no luck. Thanks Last bumped on Feb 2, 2025, 11:37:13 PM

I too am suddenly unable to start any new Chaos Trials with an endgame character, because "you do not have the required quest state". It would appear to be an overzealous check on the Act 3 maps in the "Present" time, of which the trial of Chaos is one. Since you can only access the few zones in the "Past" once you beat the campaign, you can never go to the Trial map afterward, limiting your ascendency option to only the Trial of the Sekhemas, which is very difficult for many builds.
I'd suggest either excluding the Trial of Chaos from that check, or alternatively creating a new "Trial of Chaos (Past)" map, since it would seem to me that said area would have also existed in the past. |

" Travel to Ziggurat Encampment, then to Gateway, this will take you to the beginning of Act 4 in Riverbank. Now the portals on the Act 3 map are already open. But you will have to run to Clearfell Encampment and use a stationary portal, since the player's own portal will send you back to the past of Act 3. |

Starting Act 4 over again didn't work, either. Got to Clearfell, and the only maps I can access are again the past maps, Molten Vault, and Jiquani's Sanctum, which you can't go back from because there's no door. Did it twice, just to confirm.
