mercenary character - changing ammo type doesn't refill magazine
hello,
i'm playing a mercenary character, and i notice that when i use a few shots from one ammo type, then switch to another ammo type and back again, the first ammo type doesn't start with a fresh magazine. i kind of understand why you might program the game this way, but it's still annoying in practice. i would prefer that when i switch ammo types, it always starts with a fresh magazine. after all, why would the character switch to a half-full magazine, when they have an unlimited supply of full magazines to choose from? it just doesn't feel good that changing ammo types and reloading the magazine should be done in 2 separate steps. please consider changing this. thanks. -az Last bumped on Jan 24, 2025, 11:14:52 PM

Reloading feels bad period. It's a terrible mechanic. It's an arbitrary created problem to serve a need for a solution, and the game would be better if it didn't exist.
It would be fine if crossbows were just slow to represent the need to reload, the mechanic itself is unbelievably clunky with no payoff at all. |
