Bruning Patches

Awful mechanic still even after nerf. It kills any CI build, and any build that puts mana before life. The point of these affixes on the waystones is to make it more difficult not completely unplayable for some builds.

The speed at which it affects stuff needs to be toned down. I am capped on resists but that doesnt matter, instant mana burn of 6k mana as I step in it, is wild. Plus its everywhere. Chilled and Shocked Grounds do not interact in the same way burnign ground does. Needs toning down for sure. Or else it just wasted waystones.

its allways been this way...get to 80 res asap before playing it. Only issue is some maps designs make burning spots nearly invisible...this should be fixed
Had a shrine with 85 fire res and 200 life per sec regen and still hp went down at an INSANE rate.

It needs a HUGE nerf ASAP

I usually just toss these maps out unless they have crazy iir added or something. Usually more because of what it does to my performance, especially on deli maps. I'd really be happy if it just went away. Too much particle orgy.

Thats my whole point. A lot of people just toss them away, they sholdnt have modifiers like that.

I don't think it does, though. A hallmark of MoM builds is pairing it with EB and stacking Max Mana and Mana Regen. It's probably one of the most capable builds to brute force burning grounds.

Burning Grounds is a counter to high energy shield, and MoM builds that generally have EB don't use ES anyways.
MoM comes with a flat -50% to all mana recovered from any source, including regen. BG demands MoM builds regenerate that much more. I'm sure with enough gear/passives/recoup it becomes negligible but BG effectively takes away 2 Mana per every 1 damage it would deal to MoM toons.

All CI builds should be running MoM to avoid getting 1shot from bleeding. The only reason they don't is due to a bug in the current Implementation of Bleed.
