Potential Online Changes
Hi.
I have been really enjoying this game. There are of course things that I do not like, but they are things that the wider community has talked about before and will hopefully be addressed in future patches. One area of improvement I do not see talked about are some of the decisions around online play. I recently started the cruel acts and learned online about one of the npcs offering a currency exchange. After looking around online, I found the npc in question but there was no currency exchange option. I know that playing in SSF meant no trading or multiplayer with other players, but I was confused as to why a npc would require me to change to standard. From what I can gather, the exchange rates change daily, so that might have something to do with the design. But if its because im in SSF, that doesnt make sense. The npc is available in SSF, and if one of the concerns about online trade is the power level, then surely SSF currency conversion should be seen as balanced right? To me personally this does not make sense. I then shifted over to standard to try the exchange, knowing that I would be out of SSF forever, thats fine. What I didn't expect is for all my stash to be deleted. I can understand if it was standard to SSF but the stuff that I found are not gifted by others, all my own grinded gear. Why should it be deleted? Also, The game is about 90GB but we cant play offline? Sure there is EA data collection, so I can only hope that offline play becomes a feature in full release. Is there any hope of getting more/better servers as well? I'm in Australia and have decent internet but I can only play when others are asleep essentially. One server for AUS but USA get 2 or 3. I don't know all the details but I do know that other Aussies are having issues, so an offline mode or better servers would be appreciated. I would like to reiterate that I am enjoying the game and I hope that you can make it better over the course of Early Access. Last bumped on Jan 24, 2025, 5:49:56 AM
