No streamer challenge

Hi there,

this is not about being salty to streamers and youtuber. They are doing a good job and this is just how gaming is today.

Other side of the coin, i noticed that over the last years this had a weird impact on my gaming experience, I quit on experimenting with builds and I took things for granted.

So i decided to play POE 2 entirely without watching youtuber and streamers. Knowing this might be a controverse approach because you cant turn back the wheel of time.

Lets see how i can accomplish this goal.

One of the big benefits of hitting this at the ground floor meant I got to try the game without it already being solved

I rolled a gemling shotgun mercenary and was fine through the campaign, maps was a big barrier though, couldn't stay alive

I went with solved monk eventually, it was much easier to gear and progress through endgame, but didn't give me the fun levels that I got with levelling through campaign with my self-built merc

I think it's way more fulfilling to do ur own stuff without comparing it to others or just straight up playing a guide build.

I did 3 builds in PoE2 so far, 2 self made and 1 with some inspirations from videos (spark stormweaver). I had way more fun playing those 2 self made builds than the spark one, just because I knew it was already solved. I didn't even want to upgrade the gear very much because I was bored with it.
The other builds however I tried to get as much power and survivability out of the tree and gear just to see how far they can go. They ended up being way stronger than the spark character just because of that.

Obviously that's not everyones cup of tea, but I think the streamer meta builds sour the gaming experience of alot of people, even tho it's not their fault.
