Mirroring Services Should Be Banned
Imagine you somehow manage to acquire enough currency to purchase a mirror for a powerful item. You send the whisper from the trade site, ready to pay that price listed and you are excited to get your hands on this piece of loot that will significantly increase your enjoyment of the game. Surprise! The item is not for sale as listed, but instead, you have to trade a complete stranger an entire mirror along with a 250 Divine fee on top of that and then you have to pray they trade you that mirrored item back. The only thing keeping them from scamming you is their "reputation" within the community, which I'm sure doesn't deter a lot of folks from simply logging off with your 700+ divine trade. I'm sure most individuals engaging in this behavior are also engaged in RMT, like the individual with over 10,000+ Divines worth of the game's best Quarterstaffs and Dualstring bows in the softcore trade league (an account by the way that never, EVER logs off). If GGG wants to allow for individuals to make insane profits from mirroring services then their needs to be some form of UI implemented to keep it a scam free situation such as they put in the item, you put in your mirror + the fee and it shows the mirrored item you will receive, etc. Either way, the mirroring services as they currently stand seem completely shady and it not only clutters the trade site with nonsense, but as stated before I'm sure it's a rampant source of accounts engaging in RMT. Kind of funny that these people are holding onto items long term knowing full well there's a high chance of a full economy wipe within the next two months.

there probably should be an interface.
ive never heard of someone being scammed on a mirror service, must have happened somewhere but in 12 years one has never come to my awareness. but regardless, yes to an interface. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

Yes, there should be an interface.
That being said, if you get mirror service from a unknown source, most streamers are willing to be an in-between so you don't get scammed. Community reputation doesn't mean much for unknowns. But its daily bread for full time streamers. |

Why ban player interactions? The deals you can make in chat is the soul of "MMO" part of the game.
What else you wanna ban? Having opinions or maybe owning property or speaking against the party? |
