Snakepit Left slot Ring Cannot Chain still allowing projectiles to chain from terrain

I was hoping to find otu if this is a bug or intended. At first I thought it might be intentional if chain and terrain chain are different mechanics, however if you equip snakepit the "chain from terrain %" that shows on your spell is hidden which implies terrain chain shouldnt work, and when taking it off the chain from terrain % returns


Terrain chain 100% functions with snakepit pearl ring equipped on left slot even though it says "cannot" chain.


ability used is bonestorm, however im quite sure it works with any spell. Proj that have forked still cannot chain there are no issues here.
