400 hours feedback

Hello,

I got the game a month ago and clocked in 400 hours of in-game time, that's more than 12 hours every single day for the past month.

I played PoE 1 up until level 11 and that was all the PoE experience I ever had, so it was fun discovering PoE 2 and all the various in-game systems.

Right now, I've got a bit burnt out on the game and I think I will just take a step back and focus on other things for a while before the game's full release.

Here's my feedback & suggestions:

1. Bots - I wish the team implements some ways to restrict the rampant RMT sellers in global chat and whispers. Maybe limit global chat and whispers until character level 10 so bots can't just create new characters to bypass ignore system. Also, maybe account-wide ignore would be preferable.

2. Auction House equivalent - Current trading system doesn't work for many reasons. Leaving maps just so I can sell items, all the scammers, bots posting fake listings, people not bothering to go out of map to sell, requirements for both parties to be present, relying on website. I don't like the system. I understand there are things that need to be considered regarding economy when it comes to implementing something like AH but just because it's problematic doesn't mean it's unsolvable or not even worth trying to implement.

3. Endgame - I don't like the concept of towers and juicing them, it creates gameplay loops of having to play through 10-30 maps of mostly nothing just to get in an area where you have desirable maps to run juiced and you have enough towers to juice them to a decent amount. You've recently patched this to make it slightly better but for an endgame player it's still the same. Need ways to consistently get more loot depending on how long they've grinded for and this system is not fundamentally working out in endgame.

4. One death losing maps - This needs to go.

5. Crafting - It's too much RNG right now and the ground loot is still not worth picking up in most scenarios, unless high bases / tier 5 loot.

6. Burning ground - Either make all 3 grounds equally atrocious or fix this one to be in line with the other two, right now I just sell all maps that have burning ground because it's very overtuned while at same time being visually unclear and too dense in most tilesets.

7. Rare modifiers - Rare is dead, why is the modifier it has still attacking after death and unleashing the final attack? It's not even the on-death effect but just a remnant modifier, I think they should just fade out of existence, quietly.

8. MMO features - It would be cool to lean into the multiplayer side more and make some gameplay experiences that I could enjoy with friends without sharing loot.

9. Delirium fog on instilled maps - Needs to go. Make the infused maps much harder instead, but just get rid of the fog that makes maps look very bleak and depressing.

10. Simulacrum - Too hard for a lot of classes because one of the narrow passages you just instantly die if you're not playing a instant screen wipe type of class.

11. CI & Stun Threshold - Chaos Innoculation making life 1 also forces players to get stun threshold in a lot of their jewels and gear just to avoid being stunlocked by a single mob. I think some form of minimum stun threshold needs to exist as padding for CI builds so it's extremely vulnerable to stun as it is now.

12. Make a dedicated Services channel as opposed for Trade for people offering boosts & ascendancy carries. Auto join new people on this channel when they reach level 50 but allow people to toggle it off, as Trade chat 99% of time is just boosters spamming which is irrelevant to a large majority of playerbase.

13. Waystone stash tab, please.

14. Alva Currency Exchange sometimes gets bugged when selecting and forces you to re-select the same thing again. Fix, please.

15. The big mobs that hang off the walls and climb the wall once you get near it, in one of those new Tower tilesets, sometimes turn entirely invisible / clip into ground before their jump animation. Seems unintended.

16. Add Auto Sort to Sale (Public) Stash tabs. More of an OCD thing but selling something and then having to fill the gaps due to OCD is time consuming and with a quad stash tab it becomes even more problematic.

17. Quad Stash Tab, option for bigger zoom please and clearer highlight effect, sometimes items like rings are too tiny and hard to click / notice. Also the purple outline is sometimes hard to notice when you get messaged for a trade.

18. Instead of having users mouse over all the items in trade, after confirmation pop up with a window saying "Do you wish to exchange? Your items: 1x Hand Wraps of Wisdom and Furtive Action Their items: 10x Alchemy Orb" This would be more effective in preventing scams while at same time also calculating quantity of items in a trade, it's just way more convenient and better in terms of UX. Maybe have it as a setting "Trade confirmation / quantity prompt" in Interface options.


19. Fire / Heat seems meh. I don't see any Fire builds, most people just run Lightning & Cold. Maybe rework it a little later on.

20. Add Ultimatums and Baryas to currency exchange. They keep dropping, I don't do this content and it's too annoying to get rid of them. Maybe also rework the rarity of the good ones as they drop far too often right now.

21. Give us an option to kick people out of hideout without having us switch hideouts, or just make non-party members in hideout automatically be teleported to their hideout after a minute.

22. Connect ALL nodes in endgame. Far too often I go towards 4 towers just to realize there's no connection between them yet they're like 3cm apart.

23. Mana Siphon modifier area on bosses is too big. I was fighting the Crypt tileset boss and he had the Mana Siphon modifier and I had to be on the other side of a narrow boss room just to get enough mana to land an attack every couple seconds. Also unsure how pure melee classes are supposed to get around this one.

24. Make the Omen of Corruption just say what it does, "Guarantee an item is modified when corrupted." or something like that. Right now it says it's making Vaal orbs more unpredictable but what it does is just remove the corruption without any change to item outcome.

25. Show currency rates for current selection. I have exalted orbs, and when I am choosing what I want, it should show the rate under each item without forcing me to select something just in order to check the rate. Maybe cache these values every 2 minutes, it's still way better than having to check one by one.

26. Remember last opened page on currency exchange for "I want" and "I have" sections. I am buying different soul cores and every single time I have to click on Soul Cores tab because the window always resets to initial position.

27. Add 2FA.

28. In maps, always show minimap icons of discovered Shrines, Strongboxes, Breaches, Altars, Essences and Delirium Mirrors irregardless of the distance.

29. Reduce animation time of pulling lever and make it cancellable using dash.

30. Keyboard keybind to pickup loot that is currently shown. My wrist and joints will thank you.

31. Rework Vaal Factory. Not every tileset has to be good but Vaal Factory kills any fun I have and I dislike every single enemy and I dislike the tileset layout very much. Too many walls, too many dead ends, too many projectile mob types, proximity activated mobs and mines; just entirely not fun to play, sheer annoyance.

32. Allow us to change font of chat and use a system one with text size & other accesibility options.

33. Add the different Expedition artifacts into the Currency stash tab.

34. Give us a multi-phase fight requiring a full party of similar-leveled players, like a Raid. Something like a Pinnacle boss intended for party play and each player gets their own loot cache at end if they've contributed % of damage to fight (in order to prevent hard carries & double dipping).

35. This one you will like. Add more microtransactions. Except, it's cosmetics that evolve as your character achieves something like Xesht T4 & etc.


36. Add PRESET to skills. Most builds have a bossing setup and another for mapping. Allow us to save these and equip them thru a menu, without having to tweak around support gems and skills. This, or at least the next point.

37. When a skill is equipped from inventory, if it has support gems horizontally in line next to it, load those in too.

38. Please fix the map bug where nodes in Endgame are not unlocked upon completion of previous node.

39. Iron Citadel not completing due to a lingering Boss that's unreachable.

40. Can we just normalize the Expedition currencies to all be the same? I know you can exchange them but instead of 5, I'd rather have a single Expedition currency.
