Can't see any loot at all

My game recently crashed and ever since then it's almost as if the game was hanging on by a thread and the bug has persistently gotten worse it's at the point now where regardless of what character I play I can no longer see gold or any form of loot at all even the three colored mushrooms that make those potions drop on the ground in the Apex of filth you can't even see those potions drop on the ground that's when I realized something was wrong it was odd that I could see the mushrooms and pick up the mushrooms but then when I went to pick up the potions they weren't visible it didn't matter what filter I was using I noticed the issue at first when I did a trial of chaos with a friend and he asked me if I was going to pick up my soul course and I said what soul cores I couldn't see anything but he could see all of them no I basically have a broken game and I can't pick up anything I'm desperate please help

In case I'm not clear I can't pickup anything because my screen in completely blank. There's just nothing. For all I know a divine dropped tonight in the 20-40 minutes it took me to realize this horror.

I reinstalled the game and I had enough time to look through some threads while I was installing the game not sure if this is what fix it or if reinstalling the game fixed it but I clicked on something called always highlight I think it's just called always highlight which doesn't really seem to do anything or describe anything that has to do with items it actually only refers to chests and waypoints but maybe somehow I accidentally caused some kind of weird glitch where one particular combination of keystrokes or something while using a keyboard remove that option anyway guys I don't really know but for now it seems like it's fixed a little hesitant to go back to using an item filter I will eventually but if you have this problem make sure that always highlight is on in your settings
