Feedback - Instakills

My first hard issue was underleveled gear, due to lack of crafting options. After the big patch I have managed to progress in upgrading my gear and working up towards the end-bosses. Its still not where it should be, but it sure is moving in the right direction.

Currently I've run into a persistant issue, which is getting instakilled by invisible attacks.
My main problem with this, is the invisible part. I cant even discribe what killed me, because there is so much happening on screen. Before I can even register that I died, the entire event is long over.

This is extremely frustrating. And so far I've quit the game every time. I try the next day, but it remains the same. I cant learn from my mistakes, its unpredictable, and cheap.

So far I've spent 200 hours playing 1character. I was hoping of finishing the end-bosses by now, but its becoming a drag. If I continue like this, I might be done at 300 hours. I would rather finish the game, and start a new character. Instead I'm stuck, and find myself gambling the core gamplay loop, in the hope to survive.

My suggestion would be to identify the highest burst damage monster attacks, and adapt them to have the most obvious visuals. Or slow them down so they can be registered by any casual player.

I completely agree with everything here.

I have a level 89 Monk running T15s, and over the past two days, I've been randomly dying a lot, which has led me to quit the game immediately each time.

After putting in over 90 hours, I’m probably going to step away from the game until this issue is addressed in some way.
Bump

Just tried to update my build. Issue remains.
I was trying to figure out what killed me each time.
So theres this bird that jumps at you. It does an AoE which isnt obvious.
It hits the ground, but also hits you if you're standing 3 meters further up.

Sometimes I get killed by rapid burn. It goes so fast that I cannot react.
75% fire resistance, ~2000hp and 500 shield. Just melts me.

I lost a bunch of valuable waypoints.

No fun.

Waiting for next update.
One-hit kills are always, without exception, bad game design. Anyone who allows an enemy to kill a player in one hit has failed as a designer.
I don't mind the one-hit kills as long as it's a skill issue by me (which obviously will be as a first time player of PoE), however not having a 'death log' or something to actually tell me what killed me so I can research it, learn how it works and avoid it in the future is... yeah..
