Can I get a refund on a microtransaction?

My husband bought a uniform yesterday on the PoE website not knowing that it is unusable in PoE 2. would it be possible to get a refund on that? Just because he doesn't even play PoE 1. We would be happy to just get the coins back instead of the actual money.
I must say it would be easier if you guys could make some sort of sign on the things that are only available in one of the games and not in both, it can be very confusing.
