My feedback current state on melee (vs ranged)

In naive and egoistic way I hope a dev sees this. I wanted to give my feedback on Melee. The general balance in games between ranged and melee - if done well - is as following, imo: - Damage of the two is comperable and they both should have sustain. - Ranged being ranged is an inherent defense layer. This has to be compensated for melee, for example the strenght melee class gets to equip higher armour gear. - It is assumed melee will take damage, that's the basic identity of melee. You get in, hit and get hit. You have to measure your risks well, you have to pick your targets well, but the game must allow the player to take hits. - Melee needs access to some sort of mobility, otherwise it can be insufferable especially if there is slows / cc in the game. Althought "charge" like abilities just make the flow of the gameplay much nicer. - Ranged always will have advantage of being able to deal damage in certain windows in which melee has to run away, however melee cares less about basic abilities. - Melee isn't pressured by mana. - Melee attacks tend to be instant and ranged builds sometimes need some sort of set up to fully blast at a moment. Like a marker for example. What I hoped for in PoE2 is this sort of balance but the game is completely off the rails. Mainly because: - a) Mobs move far too quick. This is a problem because when mobs are too quick, ranged loses its identity and has to build as if it was melee. - b) Mobs deel too much damage. This is a problem because melee can't actually reliably be in melee and must use "ranged melee" skills. - (a) and (b) together really just blurr if not just remove the identity of the two play styles and we all end up playing some sort of tanky ranged build. - for some unknown reason melee is pressured by both mana and accuracy, which makes the balance very lobsided. - We need good endurance charges and fortify In PoE1 the balance was defo better, apart from GGG's triggerhappiness to kill top melee skills like boneshatter. The defense layers were there and mobs were much better balanced. Of course currently the game is about oneshotting screens etc. I'm assuming there is sitll some goal in having a slower game than PoE1. There are some general issues everyone talks about but I will add them here. - Maces are inherently slow, get further inherently slower in their skills and there are passives that further slower your attack speed. This is just silly. To get your skill interrupted on melee far more than as a ranged is comedy. - Armour should let us take hits not just give us cool looking cloths which slow you down. Btw why exactly does armour have the movement speed penalty and ES / Evasion have none? Shouldn't Armour than be more effective for damage negation? - ES vs HP is crazy and completely antiethical to the melee vs ranged balance. - Why do melee (attack) builds have to deal with both mana and accuracy?
