Bonestorm Feedback

So I've been playing as a Blood Witch, primarily using Bonestorm as my offesnive skill (supported by Contagion, Profane Ritual, and Skeletons), and I wanted to give a degree of feedback.

While the skill overall is fine, and has some possibilities, its hamstrung by a few issues;

As a channeling skill, it feels weak, partly due to its support design as a way to enhance skeleton damage. I think the damage is a touch low for it, in part due to the support side of the nature I feel being overly considered a core part of it. As a fully invested Phys damage skill, it feels a bit low in terms of power (Not a ton mind you).

As a primary bleed tool, it's entirely incapable, due to the nature of how it deals damage (this can be fine, but it seems like bleed is thematically linked to Blood Mage, but entirely unsupported.

Chaining and Ricochet don't seem to function with the projectiles.

Regardless of the above minor issues, it has two critical issues that regardless of how good the damage could be, will always relegate it to an unused skill;

The first is that the projectiles appear behind the user while charging, and when fired, they will get stuck in walls behind you. On some maps (Crypt is a great example), it can make it impossible to fire at targets, losing half or more of the projectiles to walls. In some Rituals, the lock in feature (i.e the black fog that traps you in the encounter) also swallows projectiles, dramatically limiting your possible fighting space to a tiny space around the center of the ritual alter.

Combined with the projectiles hover above your character while charging, and fly over short enemies, particularly if they are too close to you. Enemies like Sand Leapers cannot be struck if they are in melee range with you, even when aiming at them due to the projectiles trajectory. The hit box of the projectile needs to be expanded on the Z axis such that it can strike anything it passes over.

If those two problems are fixed, it can become a usable skill, though the nature of channeling skills will likely relegate it to a very off meta skill unless its damage is cranked way up, or other benefits appear (Massive bleed synergy, rebounding chains, etc).
