How about a casual player/noob mode?
I am a casual gamer. I only have so much time I can play in any given day/week. But I do like to play and do most days for an hour or two.
Lately, it is just starting to get monotonous. I am at the end of Act 2 the second time right now and since I completed the first 3 acts it goes like this: Breeze through the maps, get to the boss and spend the next several hours trying to beat him. It seems like these fights go on and on and on and one mistake and BOOM. Dead. Go start again. It gets old, man. It is not fun, at least for me. So, what to do? I re-run the maps, trying to level and looking for gear. Drops suck though too. There is no kind of linear progression of gear. Then get to the boss again and repeat the above. I get there should be a challenge and I please don't with the git gud crap. I'm not young and your reflexes do slow down. Regardless, I would like to keep playing but honestly, I can't even get to the endgame. Maybe I need to be better at enhancing my gear. Maybe I need some RNG love on drops but something needs to break because this is becoming not fun. I don't know if I am in the minority here. I probably am. But making the bosses a bit easier would go a long way to enjoying this. And, not wanting to effect the hard core guys, just give us an easier game mode. TL:DR I suck and I'm tired of fighting the same boss for hours just to move on. Gimmie some easymode love. ~~Born to walk against the wind, born to hear my name. No matter where I stand, I'm alone~~ Last bumped on Jan 21, 2025, 4:39:15 PM

Trade exalts for gear.
Use the Dodge roll. Bosses are easy if you have skill and use your skills. They can be a bit frustrating but that wasn't my experience except with the collosus (who was difficult for melee). The game is a bit different. You have to actually play well. Your movements matter. Tldr bosses are very easy if you stop trying to throw yourself at them and figure them out. |

They could at least make crafting a bit easier.
I don’t want to use my exalts just for trading—I want to craft, but the process feels so frustrating and overly RNG-dependent. If trading didn’t require human interaction, I’d probably be more open to it, but as it stands, it’s just not appealing to me. |

Not going to happen.
I am sorry. Some games are just not for everyone. You can casually complete the campaign from time to time. I know of "new" gamers who never played games that were able to reach endgame, so anyone should be able to. I don't want this game to be dumbed down so everyone, even horrible (sorry) players, can beat it. You should put time reading and watching some guide and if you don't want to, then thats on you Last edited by Waiden#9514 on Jan 21, 2025, 4:23:04 PM

You don't want to hear this, but... you're already playing it.
The problem with difficulty levels is that there's always some people for whom "easy" isn't easy enough. And no matter how many progressively easier difficulty levels you add, you're always going to have some people who want/need it even easier. |

" It's kind of the point. There's a massive stratification in items. Crafting is only for people with a lot of currency. It's a risk reward thing. For something to be worth crafting, it could take dozens or hundreds of materials, and therefore it's not something you use to get thru the campaign. You can make your items better. Or you can buy an item 3x better than you have for one exalt. Like I'm level 88 in maps and I still can buy gear occasionally for like 5 to 20ex. Basically if you're in trade league you should be trading. The flip side is you can probably get thru the campaign or at least to act 1 cruel with trash gear and a dodge roll. And then use the currency exchange to sell off the crafting materials you get. Crafting equals gambling. And it doesn't make sense until have enough to take the risk. Checking the vendors every level and buying gear too. Trading is easy for the buyer. All you need to do is have the currency, message a bunch of people, click the teleport button, and have them trade with you. |
