Loot disappearing WHILE ALIVE

Once I kill something and loot drops it remains on the ground for approximately 2-3 seconds. If I walk past it, it completely disappears and if I attack overtop of it (I play on PS5 and my basic attack is bound to my action or “X” button) it also completely disappears does not show up in inventory and does not populate anywhere else. massive issue in maps considering it has more more concerned with picking up my loot quickly than actually staying alive.

This happens on multiple characters.

You're probably used to the "Always Highlight" option being on, and accidentally disabled it.

I'm not as familiar with the controller controls. I think in PoE1 R2+Dpad down toggled "Always Highlight" on/off, but I don't know if it's the same in PoE2. I think L3 or R3 might temporarily show the items on the ground as well?

If those don't work, you can always turn on "Always Highlight" in settings again.



Edit: reading another thread, it seems like L2+Dpad Right toggles "Always Highlight" on/off in PoE2.

Same thing has started to happen to me. I play on Xbox on my mercenary, and it started in the bone pits area and has continued happening in keth as well as the trial of the sekhemas. Have lost alot of loot to this issue. I've tried respwaning at checkpoint, leaving/coming back to the area,as well as exiting the game and logging back in.
