Does weapon swap snapshot gear and passives?
I read in one post that weapon swap will snapshot +level of gems mods in weapons.
e.g. if you swap to a +5 mace and drop a totem, it will keep +5 when you swap back to your other weapon. Is this true for passives as well? Specifically, I am interested in damage over time and shock. Can I take increased magnitude of shock passives for one weapon, and increased magnitude of damage over time for the other weapon, and get these passives bonuses to snapshot? For example, weapon set 1 I use to inflict shock and I take passives to increase shock magnitude by 100%. On weapon set 2 I have 0% shock magnitude by 100% increased magnitude of ignite. I want to inflict shock with weapon 1 to get 40% increased damage taken, then weapon swap to inflict a doubled ignite. Then I want to weapon swap back to set 1 to inflict another shock and/or trigger elemental equilibrium. Will this work, or will my ailments lose the passive boost when I swap weapons? Yes, it should snapshot. If you see the dps values of skills, they calculate the passive weapon set points even when you change sets.
