Armour bases types affects damage done

Greetings there,
Im playing Poe 2 and im having the following doubt or "problem", I'm upgrading my bodyarmour and i realized that my damage drop down 3k by doing this. And there is no real difference between both bodyarmours. So i get trying different bases and i confirm that the damage output changes depending the differents bases. We'd probably need more information, because that doesn't sound normal.
