Cannot get back to act3 town after finishing cruel campaign

Lets be very clear about the problem because I see another thread, but people are misunderstanding it and thinking they're suggestions a solution, but their solution isn't a fix.

Normally during campaign act 3, the elevator goes up after beating sun boss, you go through, and now you're in the past, with a portal to go back and forth between past and present that can take you into town. Fine. Established. Now if you make a TP from any of the PAST zones, it brings you to this platform where you'd have to go back through that portal to access the town. Fine. Established.

Now when we finish the campaign, what it's doing is changing the WP on the WP map to the PAST version, and then placing us on the past platform where we would NORMALLY be able to just walk right back through the giant golden portal and poof...we'd be in town. But that portal is no longer active. It's closed. So there's no way to actually access the act 3 town anymore. It's just gone.

This needs a fix real bad. Like yesterday...a hotfix is in order for this this is so bad.

No reaction from devs (or anyone really)

On a side note, I have found just now that if you go to the sandswept marsh and RUN your happy ass all the way to the entrance of the act 3 town, it lets you into the proper town, but the WP is deactivated in that town...so it's almost like it's intended, but this is HORRIBLE game design due to how vendors work. This needs a fix and is probably the most important thing in the game right now to address.
