Gem Skill bricked! Does not appear in Skill Bar! [FIXED]

I actually managed to brick an actual Skill Gem and make it unusable as unable to appear in the Skill Bar. The UI on the skill gem is completely bugged.
It happens with this skill gem item specifically. Logout/Login does not help. I tried clicking everywhere on the bugged UI, did not help.

It's happening on my lvl20 20% quality 6L BoneShatter while I was adjusting the 'Use weapon Set with" before bossing.
I planned to record the boss fight but didn't realized it was bugged when I started the recording. You can actually see it in the 1st second. I realized mid fight I didn't switch HOTG by mistake.
It must have happened while unticking the BoneShatter box and closing the UI rapidly just before the fight. Too bad I didn't caught that in the recording.

I understand you can engrave another gem skill.
But that should still be a high priority fix because it can also happen a lvl 20 6L gem is a pretty hefty investment.

You can see me extremely confused in the middle of the fight as why my HOTG did not damage (didn't untick primary set by mistake) and why no skills are on my left click (bugged skill gem).

My strong suspicion is that closing the skills menu while ticking/unticking causes the issue.

I found a way to fix it using just one extra working gem (no matter what ability).
1. Open the broken gem's ability details
2. While the details window is open, drag the working gem to the broken one's slot.
3. Now drag the broken gem there again.
4. Activate all the checkboxes for the weapon sets I and II.
