Self-Destruct with Mana Flask? Unexpected Death with Chaos Inoculation – Bug or Feature?

Issue Description:
I encountered a behavior where I am unsure if it is intended or a bug. Using a Mana Flask with the modifier “Remove 15% of Mana Recovered From Life When Used” in combination with the passive skill “Chaos Inoculation” inevitably kills my character, even though I had full mana and a full energy shield.

This happens after consuming a small amount of mana and attempting to refill it with a flask containing this modifier. I can consistently reproduce this behavior! Having an active “Omen of Recurrence” does not prevent the death either.

Additional Details:

Platform: PlayStation 5
Version: PoE2 0.11
Energy Shield: Full
Inventory: An active “Omen of Recurrence,” which remains active in the inventory after death.
Reproduction Conditions:

Use a skill that consumes mana.
Use a Mana Flask with the described modifier.

A video demonstrating the issue is included in this report:

Expected Behavior:
I should not be able to kill my character by using a Mana Flask.

I would like to understand if this is expected behavior, if I am doing something wrong, or if this is a bug.

I suspect this is intended, as if you only have one health and you lose that health (because of the flask), then it makes sense that you would die. Although I think it would be good if completely prevented you from using the flask in that case and sent a message in the chat explaining it.
It's not even a feature. You literally use a thing that removes more life than you have. And for some reason expect it won't kill you.

As for Omen of Resurgence, how often it saves you with CI? It procs on reaching low life (0.35/1). Even without CI, the flask removes life instantly, so there would be no point in time when it reaches the "low" threshold.
